The agreement

Terms & Conditions

By creating an account or using MyShorepass you agree to these terms. Please read them — they are short.

What MyShorepass is

MyShorepass is a port guide written by seafarers, for seafarers. The content is crew experience shared voluntarily — not official guidance from any port, authority, flag state or employer.

Use it, but confirm it

Shore leave rules, gate procedures, visa requirements and agent details change without notice and vary by vessel, flag and nationality. Treat everything here as one seafarer's account on one day. Always confirm with your agent, your Master and the relevant authority before you act on it. MyShorepass is provided “as is”, and to the extent the law allows we accept no liability for decisions made on the basis of it.

Your account

Keep your login details to yourself; you are responsible for what is posted from your account. Give accurate details when you register — your rank and nationality help other crew weigh what you write.

What you contribute

Post only what you know first-hand and have the right to share. Do not post anything false, abusive, unlawful, or that identifies a crew member who has not agreed to it. By posting, you grant Shore Pass a licence to show and share your contribution within the service, and you keep the credit for it. We may remove anything that breaks these terms or edit for clarity, and we may suspend an account that repeatedly does.

Privacy

What we store and how we handle it is set out in our Privacy & Security page.

Changes

We may update these terms as the service grows. Continuing to use MyShorepass after a change means you accept the updated terms. Reach us any time through Help & Support.
